Privacy Policy
Effective: October 24, 2026
holistic-path.ai ("the site") presents the work of Ian Browde and Kai Yuan on tai chi, qigong and the cultivation arts, including the film How Shall We Be Together? and Yong, an AI guide you can chat with. The site is operated by Crystal Palace Labs, Inc. ("we", "us").
In short: there is no sign-up, there are no cookies or analytics, and we don't store your conversations with Yong.
1. Browsing the site
- No accounts, no forms, no analytics, no advertising trackers.
- No cookies or browser storage. The site stores nothing in your browser.
- Fonts and pages come from this site. Loading a page sends no request to any font, analytics or advertising service.
- Hosting. The site is hosted by Google Firebase Hosting (holistic-path.ai) and GoDaddy (the ideaplace.com/yong copy). Like any website, your browser sends technical information with each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, which the host processes to deliver the page. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
- Links to other sites, such as Zoom or the State of the World Forum, are governed by those sites' own policies.
2. The film
- The film is embedded from YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play.
- Once you press play, YouTube (Google) delivers the video and may use cookies or similar technologies and show ads, under Google's Privacy Policy. We do not receive information about who watches.
- To avoid YouTube entirely, use the "Watch without YouTube" link, which plays the film from this site.
3. Chatting with Yong
Yong is an AI, not a person. Yong offers general information about tai chi, qigong and Ian and Kai's paper. It is not medical advice. Yong will not diagnose conditions or suggest changing medication, and will suggest seeing a doctor about symptoms. If you are thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 in the United States, or contact your local emergency number.
Conversations are not stored. Specifically:
- What we keep: counts only, such as the number of requests, response times and error rates, so we can run and protect the service. We never log or store the text of your messages or Yong's replies.
- Your IP address: to limit abuse, the service turns your IP address into a scrambled code using a random key that changes every day. These codes are held only in the service's working memory and are never written to storage. The hosting platform's own request log for the chat service is switched off.
- In your browser: the chat uses no cookies and no browser storage. When you close or reload the page, the conversation is gone.
- Yong has no memory of past conversations and does not search the internet.
- Please don't share personal details such as your name, health information or contact details. Yong doesn't need them.
How a reply is produced. Each message you send goes to an AI model that we run on Google Cloud (Vertex AI), in our own Google Cloud project. The model is made and operated by Google. Under Google's terms, Google does not keep your message or the reply longer than needed to produce the reply, and does not use them to train AI models. One narrow exception: if Google's automated safety tools flag a message as possible abuse or a violation of Google's usage policies, Google may log it solely to review whether a violation occurred.
Safety controls. The chat has daily usage limits and can be switched off at any time. When it is off, the rest of the site works as usual.
4. Children
The site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Because conversations are not stored, there is nothing for us to retrieve or delete.
5. Visitors outside the United States
The site and the chat are available worldwide. The chat service runs in Google Cloud's us-west1 (Oregon) region, and AI processing may take place in Google Cloud data centers in other countries. Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on our legitimate interest in providing the site and preventing abuse, and we keep data to the minimum described above.
6. Your choices and rights
- Because we don't store conversations or link data to you, we generally hold no personal information about you to access, correct or delete.
- We do not sell or share personal information, including as those terms are used in California law.
- You can avoid YouTube by using "Watch without YouTube", and you can choose not to use the chat.
- Questions or requests: clarity@crystalpalacelabs.ai
7. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
